TICAD’s mandate remains aligned with Africa’s development agenda and has been recalibrated to take into account emerging trends and new stakeholders. Recognizing the key role of integration in Africa’s economic transformation, TICAD advocates for connectivity in the broadest sense—within society, among peoples, institutions and countries—as a guiding principle to achieve sustainable development and improve resilience on the continent.
