UNDP strengthens the capacity of African States to deliver development while expanding people's opportunity to participate in decision-making processes, particularly women, youth, marginalized groups, and the poor. UNDP also helps build responsive and accountable institutions, promotes international and regional principles of democratic governance, and shares good governance knowledge and best practices among African decision-makers.
