Highlights of Abdoulaye Mar Dieye's March 2016 Trip to Mali

Following UNDP Administrator’s visit in February 2016, Mr. Abdoulaye Mar Dieye, Director of UNDP’s Regional Bureau for Africa carried out a six-day visit to Mali, from 7 to March 12 2016.

While in Mali, M. Dieye took part in celebrations marking International Women’s Day on 8 March, and held talks with Mali’s Minster of Foreign Affairs Abdoulaye Diop, the Minister of Finance Boubacar Cissé. Highlights of this mission include a participation to the Conference on Border Management organized under the auspices of the G5 Sahel.

The overall objective of the Conference was to achieve consensus of the G5 Sahel on a development agenda for improving border management in the Sahel. Mr. Abdoulaye Mar Dieye, also met with President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita of Mali on March 11.
