The project aims to strengthen the livelihoods of communities affected by the multiple crises of floods, communal conflict and violent extremism since April 2020. The project will address the humanitariandevelopment nexus by ensuring the interventions address immediate needs while addressing long-term development through community level infrastructure to support sustainable and alternative livelihoods systems.

Integrated Response and Recovery of Livelihoods a!ected by Violent Extremism, Conflict and Disasters in Kenya 

The objective of the project is to strengthen the recovery of livelihoods for communities affected by disasters in Kenya. The proposed project will contribute to UNDP’s Strategic Outcome 3 of building resilience to shocks and crisis while contributing directly to CDP outputs 4.4 for communities to improve adaptive capacity to disasters including from climate changeds systems.
